Instructions for Veterinarian

Immediately after cardiac arrest, start cooling.  There are two possible cooling methods:

[1-2 hours] Submerge the body completely in ice water.  As ice melts, add more ice and remove water.

[3-5 hours] Place in refrigerator.

Do NOT allow tissue to freeze under any condition.  This may make removal of the brain and preservation impossible.

 

Once cooled, Ship in Small Container supplied by us.

 

Large pets will not fit in our current shipping container.  There are two options:

1- Remove and send us just the head.

2- Purchase a plastic cooler and try to follow the shipping guidelines.
