back to Perfusion Monitor Software
This software is only installed on computers which are connected to perfusion equipment through National Instruments Data Acquisition hardware. The software is not installed by running an .exe installer. It is instead installed by carefully copying files.
Hardware must support at least 1920 x 1080 (standard HD) screen resolution.
NI Software, as described in Daq NI Software.
(might be needed, starting with version 17.3)
Install K-Lite codec pack. This should allow the videos embedded within the software to play properly. The installer is located at \\Storage\\License Info\K-Lite_Codec\K-Lite_Codec_Pack_1140_Mega.exe. Use the "simple" installation option with normal defaults. Decline Video AdBlock plugin and Ad-Aware offer.
The K-Lite website is http://www.codecguide.com
1. Determine which folder the software will be "installed" into. This is usually C:\CryoPerfusionMonitor\. You will also gradually add a series of dated folders into this main folder. The dated folders are only used for archive purposes, not for running the program.
2. Copy the most recent dated folder from the network \\Storage\Software\CryoPerfusionMonitor\ (or from Software Version Details as a .zip) into the local C:\CryoPerfusionMonitor\. The new folder would look similar to this: C:\CryoPerfusionMonitor\2017-03-16\, and would contain about 6 files.
3. Copy the files from this new folder directly into the C:\CryoPerfusionMonitor\ folder, overwriting any existing files. So now the files will be in two places on your local hard drive: one to run and the other to act as an archive.
4. Add or edit config file, if needed. See Software, Perfusion Monitor Config File.
The Diagrams folder is not currently used. It will be ignored. The details below describe the old behavior, which we may reimplement later. The diagram used in the software is now baked in and cannot be changed.
It's a folder within the C:\CryoPerfusionMonitor\ folder. It contains the drawing instructions for the part of the user interface with the animated perfusion diagram. It should always contain exactly two folders:
1. The first folder contains exactly two files called Diagram.gif and Diagram.txt. The folder itself can be named anything. This is the active diagram that the software will use.
2. The second folder is called "Archive". It contains multiple folders each with the same two files described above. These folders are copies of all the available diagrams. You should manually create the Archive folder when first installing.
To change the active diagram, first stop the software to unlock the files. Delete the first folder, then copy (not move) one of the archive folders up a level. Restart the program to see the change. To obtain more diagram folders, look at \\Storage\Software\CryoPerfusionMonitorDiagrams\, and copy folders as needed from there to the Archive folder. If the folder on the server gets corrupted for some reason, the original files are safely on an SVN server and in multiple locations.
